I Am Honored !
"THE EARTH IS MY CHURCH, THE BODY MY ALTAR."
Merry Meet and Welcome!

I am so glad that you decided to get to know me a little better! I am 42 years young and I am a Sagittarian of the female species. I am a Southern Belle who is extremely proud of her southern heritage as well as her international heritage! I am a very loud & straight forward Dutch/Scotch-Irish Lass currently living under beautiful Carolina blue skies. Above, you will see some of the flags of my heritage and I am very proud of them all, especially my Southern roots!  I was born a northerner but I was raised a Southern gal from the age of 2, so I guess you could say I'm "Northern Born & Southern Bred! Blessed with Northern class & Southern grace!"
I am a very distant and reclusive lady, eclectic and eccentric to say the least. I don't generally get too close to people as I find that true friendship, love, loyalty and kindness are extremely rare in this lifetime. Getting close to me can be like embracing an Iron Maiden but if you are patient and willing. my love and friendship are loyal, tried and true and will last for an eternity. (As long as there are no lies to cause distrust) My soul is as old as my morals, values and beliefs and I believe in the true Magick of all Faiths just as I believe in air.  One may not always see the air but have faith that it is there.
Now, laugh if you like but I am nothing more than a down home country girl who rolled for hours in the grass and played under those beautiful Carolina blue skies when I was a little bitty thing! I picked flowers all the time and yes, I used to wade barefoot in a creek near my house.(cut my foot something aweful in that damned old creek,LOL!) So laugh if you must but this is the way it was for me growing up in the South! From falling out of Magnolia trees to catching fireflies to eating green apples. From Mama's Sunday chicken and biscuits to picking Black Berries and Muskadines. From suckin' on honeysuckle flowers to raiding my mama's cantelope patch when she wasn't looking or waiting on a tomato sandwich to get good and mushy! I could not have asked for anything better and in my world, it didn't and still doesn't get any better than that! Now, before you say that my life was just "Peachy", think again! My Mama died when I was only 11 years old and my life got pretty tough and hard going after that but life goes on and when you're given lemons, do as I did; make Lemon Merigue Pie and then throw it at somebody! (what did you expect! I'm a Southern woman who loves to cook and played softball in high school! lol!)
Now, what else?
Oh yeah, I have a pretty nasty temper as I am, after all, part Scotsman you know, LOL! I am extremely outspoken and quite blunt about things! My dad once said I should have been an umpire, lol, as I  just call out the truth and I don't care who hates me for it! (and incase you're wondering, I'm a Braves & Phillies fan!)
Now, let's see,
I have no children unless you count my furry ones LOL!! You see, I am a proud possession of 5 cats who own my house, 2 dogs who run my house, one persistant little squirrel who vacations at my home, in the attic, during the chilly months of Winter, some stray kittens who have decided to take up residence here, as well as a family of rabbits, one huge owl who occasionally & a wee little House Mouse from time to time!
I am also a musical Bard I guess you would say as I ADORE music from ALL genres! I live and breath music. It is the Sonnet that comforts the soul and eases the spirit. I believe that music can speak for someone when they are at a loss for words or have a special unspoken message to convey. I have been asked "Do you have a favorite style?" many times. This is a hard question for me because every style of sound has a meaning and a purpose and I try to find the beauty in it all!
I also love anything old!
From antiques to houses to places; the older the better! And I love anything that is Irish or Native American! I have a semi-small collection of Belleek china,Connomora mable pieces and other collectables that hail from Ireland plus Native American Pottery as well. There are many hobbies that I enjoy such as gardening and cooking and being a collector of certain oddities just to name a few.
I am a World Of Warcraft addict and I am also a Medieval nut!!!
Huzzah!!!
I love Ren. fairs and I am also a collector of Medieval weaponry and armorment! I am a "Renny" if you will! A young Lass born in the wrong time! I am eccentric and eclectic, magickal and mysterious, illusive and reclusive to say the least but I like what I like! ;-) I surround myself with what I love, not what others think I should love. I don't "keep up with the Jones' "so to speak. I am who I am and if that means I want a weed garden instead of an English "formal" garden, well, that's exactly what you'll find in my backyard, LOL! If my neighbors have white houses and think I should as well just to be "politically correct," watch me paint my house white with black poka dots! Besides, being like everyone else is boring and drab. I am who I am. It can get lonely at times but I would rather be alone for the right reasons than have a ton of friends for all the wrong reasons. (wasn't that a quote from a movie?LOL!)
Oh Yes, my home!
My home is warm and cozy, kissed with a warm invitation to "come on in, kick your shoes off and prop your feet up." It is not a fancy home nor is it a home you can not live in. Step into my home and you step back in time. Candles burning and herbs drying by the hearth and a cat around every corner. A kitchen that is filled with windchimes and plants galore and is actually used and loved by the cook. My kitchen is not a place that just gathers dust. It is not used as a show place but instead, for nourishment of the mind, body, soul and spirit. It is the heart and soul of my humble home. If you listen with your heart, you can hear the rhythm of the wise woman's heart beating within the very walls of her homestead. My home is no exception. It's tune is that of my heart beat, the rhythm of my soul. It permeates who I am and illuminates my spirit in every
cross-beam, rafter and wall!
A humbled cottage to say the least, is an understatement! If you want "The Ritz" this isn't it baby! That's for Muggles, LOL! But if you can handle a cup of tea and some good conversation. Books scattered about, ranging from Harry Potter to Tai Chi, from the Paranormal to The American Soldier, from Magical and Farmers Almanacs to Cook Books and books about History. A cat curling up on your lap to take a nap or two canines begging for a piece of whatever has just been baked in the the kitchen, then make yourself at home!
Now, let's see,
Lady Harmony is my Craft name. It was bestowed upon me quite some time ago. My real name is......... only the ones who are closest to me know the answer to that one! We "Crafter's" can't be too careful you know. After all, if someone wants to borrow some of our firewood, we must be careful as it may be used to start our own funeral pyre!
On a strange and bizarre note, to believe or not to believe is your choice! I am a firm believer in the unbelievable! I do believe in Spirits, Apparitions, the Paranormal and pretty much anything that goes "bump" in the night. I have had too many personal experiences with the proverbial "Boogey Man" which are not very pleasant at times but I have also encountered many positive experiences which have brought me great joy. I also believe in Psychic abilities and Clairvoyant abilities as I have a few of those "gifts" myself. (I am tossing around an idea for a section on my site for that so let me know what you think ) Sometimes they are a gift and at other times, they are a curse! So call me crazy or whatever  you like but don't judge me until you have flown on my besom and don't "diss" what I've seen unless you've been looking through my crystal ball!
What else?
Oh, my personal animal spirit totems/guides are the Polar Bear, the Cat, the Wolf, and the Dragonfly! I know it sounds like a lot but believe me, I need them!
I am also a huge lover of animals of all types, from feathers to fur to fins, I adore them all! I have been an animal rights advocate for as long as I can remember. My biggest passions lie with our animal friends and the environment.
My heartsong beats intune with that of the wolves. They are the most misunderstood and most elegant of all creatures. When it comes to defenseless animals, I have never understood how we as human beings, one of the most complex beings on the planet, can be so cruel, close-minded and selfish!
Everything on this planet, including the planet herself, are creatures of God and the Goddess alike and should be treated with the utmost respect!
Let's see, what else?
Oh, I am or have been a proud member of the ASPCA, The National Wildlife Federation, The World Wildlife Federation, The HSUS, The Arbor Day Foundation, The National Gardening Club, not to mention many others that I am also proud to be a part of.
I have adopted several wolves and their pups over many years as well as planted a lot of trees. I am constantly trying to help abused and neglected animals and this nature loving HERMIT can almost always be found trolling around in her yard or cottage, fussing over her herbs, flowers, plants and animals.
To hold a piece of the Earth in your hands is to hold history and knowledge. To sit under a tree and listen to it's leaves rustling in the wind, is to hear the voices of our forefathers carried over a warm, gentle breeze. To befriend an animal is to know true, unconditional love and to run with the wolves is to know the ways of the Ancient Ones, forever heard in the echoed cries of their howls.
Let me simply quote from one of my favorite movies: "Listen to the creatures of the night - what sweet music they make;" & "There is much to be learned from beasts!"
As for my faith,
I see myself as simply me but most would call me an Eclectic Mutt. Some call me a Spiritualist and some just call me crazy! I have spent a long time searching for inner peace. My journies have taken me both far and wide, in search of just the right path. From Covens to Christianity, I have studied many "religions" in depth and I have been well versed and taught in more than just a few but if I have to be labeled, just call me an Eclectic Spiritualist! Basically I have found peace through just being me. And in this I have achieved solice, serenity and knowledge. My beliefs are neither black nor white, good nor bad. They simply "Are." My Faith is that of energy and power that must be used wisely and most carefully for it is, after all, the power of the Universe. It is only colored by the believers own energy and power, watercolored to the specifications of the person's desires and needs. I, myself, am in balance with both Yin and Yang, both light and dark for you can't have one without the other (but one must always remember, if you stare too long into the Abyss, the Abyss will stare back.) To me, the universe maintains a certain balance so that it may endure and survive. In short, it takes an open mind to understand, so if your mind is open and you listen with your heart, you will come to understand who I am; Just a woman who respects and believes in all faiths and follows the path of her own heart. A village healer and Hermit of sorts with a Native American soul and an Empaths heart. One who loves life and all within it. An enlightened lady well aware of both the light and dark side of her humanity. A lady of mystery who loves Magick of today and the Ancient Ways of yesteryear . A believer in Christ and Krishna, Budda and Allah. An old soul who would rather listen to the wind, talk to a tree or walk with the animals than to be around most people she has met or knows. But yet, still a lady that loves all whom have an open mind and an overflowing heart!
May Shamrocks, White Sage & Southern Magnolias Forever Bloom In Your Backyard!
